‘VIVA ASEAN-ASEAN Cultural Roadshow’
to Tour Korea in October

In celebration of the Korea-ASEAN special summit slated for November of this year, VIVA ASEAN-ASEAN Cultural Roadshow will tour Korea on October 22–30. The Roadshow, which presents traditional dances from the 10 ASEAN countries, will commence in Gwangju on October 22 before traveling to Seoul on October 25, Busan on October 27, and Cheongju on October 30.
   The roadshow will showcase a variety of performances under the themes of diversity, creativity, and sustainability. These performances have been d for the ASEAN Cultural Year 2019 by the Best of ASEAN Performing Arts (BAPA), ASEAN’s representative performing arts group. With the participation of artists from the 10 ASEAN member countries, BAPA previously brought VIVA ASEAN to Denmark, the Netherlands, and Thailand before coming to Korea.
   VIVA ASEAN will deliver the true character of ASEAN performing arts with traditional dances from each ASEAN member country, joint performances of artists from several member countries that share cultural and natural backgrounds, and a grand finale in which the artists from all 10 countries perform together. VIVA ASEAN is being held with the cooperation of the ASEAN Cultural Center.
