22nd Korea-China Future Forum The KF and the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs will jointly hold the 22nd Korea-China Future Forum in Jeju Island on December 13. The two organizations first agreed to launch a permanent dialogue channel for governmental and non-governmental leaders in 1993. Since the first meeting in Beijing in 1994, the forum has convened annually alternating between the two countries. The upcoming meeting will feature in-depth discussions among politicians, government officials, and academics from the two countries, with talks centered on three agenda items—“Retrospect and Prospect: The 25th Anniversary of Korea-China Diplomatic Relations”; “The Security Situation on the Korean Peninsula”; and “Korea-China Cooperation: One-Belt, One-Road Initiative and the Responsible Northeast Asia Plus Community Initiative.”
